HP Indigo Spot White Ink

HP Indigo presses use white ink primarily to enhance colour vibrancy and create stunning visual effects on a variety of substrates, especially when printing on coloured or dark materials. White ink acts as an undercoat, similar to a primer, allowing colours to stand out more vividly and preventing them from being muted by the background colour. It also enables unique design possibilities with materials that have reflective or holographic properties. White ink is also used for various speciality applications, such as printing on clear substrates, creating textured effects, and producing high-contrast black-and-white designs.

Artwork requirements

Please supply press-ready artwork, ideally in PDF format, set CMYK with 3mm of bleed on all edges and offset crop marks applied.

Where possible, please ensure artwork is centred without colour bars or file information applied; these are not required and often result in files being positioned incorrectly when using our imposition software.

Please note that due to cutting tolerances, we advise setting all elements of your design that aren’t intended to bleed off a minimum of 5mm from all edges to avoid cutting issues.

Need help with your artwork? No problem, our studio team are on standby to help with amending existing artwork or even produce full designs based on a standard rate for studio time. Send us your enquiry to orders@apprint.co.uk

White Ink setup requirements

Please supply your white ink setup as a separate page/file, with all elements of the design that require white ink positioned in solid magenta only (C0/M100/Y0/K0). Add any instructions to the notes section on your order. Not sure? Give us a shout; we’re happy to help!

File copies

Our many trade customers trust us to deliver direct to their clients under plain wrap as standard practice. However, it’s sometimes beneficial to receive file copies for their records as future reference. File copies will be sent via Royal Mail First Class service to the invoice address by default, following the dispatch of the order to the chosen delivery address.
